I appreciated the open and flexible environment. My office provided me with the resources to excell and network

I wish there were more people in the office so the space was less empty. Because of COVID people are working virtually

What I liked
I liked having the ability to work one on one with each cybersecurity analyst on both the operations and risk/governance teams.
What I wish was different
Something I wish had been different was the length of the internship. i would have loved more exposure to working my own incidents/cases.
Advice
One piece of advice I would share about this experience would be to not be afraid of asking questions and always be learning!

I wish I had lived closer to D.C. to facilitate exploring the city on my free time.
Advice
I would advise interns to speak to most, if not all, staff members to grasp what they can achieve with their majors and explore all possibilities.

I like how I am able to sit in on meeting with deputy directors of different countries.
What I wish was different
I wish I was able to intern more than twice a week. Unfortunately, I miss some important staff meetings that I would like to sit in on.
Advice
I love the workplace environment everyone is quite friendly and I get the inside scoop of how policy actually works.
