Ask your supervisors to attach you to projects that will help you grow. They are a limitless source of knowledge and experience, use them to your advantage.

What I liked
APCO Worldwide has a great way of making interns feel like full-time employees. The office environment and work culture is the best in DC as far as I’m concerned.
What I wish was different
I wish during the pitch contest the interns had a mentor or full time wmployee they could ask questions on best practices for pitching to clients.
Advice
Politics makes good bedfellows. Utilize this knowledge when doing advocacy campaigns.

What I liked
I loved being able to work with Former Ambassador to India, Tim Roemer, as well as work on a lot of new business for the company.
What I wish was different
I wish that the entry level positions that they do have would have been in the department in which I worked.
Advice
You will be busy, but it will be rewarding! Also, get coffee with as many people as you can.
