Registered Nurse | Med Surg
Job Description
We are seeking a Registered Nurse | Med Surg to join our team! You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients. We'll pay $5,250 towards your student loan, plus relocation assistance if you live more than 75 miles from Hillsdale!
Work Schedule And Shift Premiums
• Three 12-hour shifts per week, will be scheduled for every 2nd or 3rd weekend
• $2.00/hour 2nd shift premium, $3.05/hour 3rd shift premium, $2.00/hour weekend premium
Responsibilities
• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients
• Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
• Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
• Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Maintain accurate patient medical records
• Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
Qualifications
• ASN or BSN required
• Michigan RN license, or a graduate waiting to take your NCLEX
• Previous experience in nursing is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
