Title: HHA (Home Health Aide) / CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) Preceptor

Status: Full Time

Shift: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm (3 days/week), OR 4 10-hour shifts/week, with on-call every other weekend. Flexible Schedule!

What will I do as an employee with Redstone?

As the HHA/CNA Preceptor, supporting the Redstone mission will include the following responsibilities:

  • Participates in the orientation, on-the-job training, in-service and continuing education of home care staff under the direction of the Team Leader or designee to keep the HHA/PCA current with changes in health care procedures and company policies.
  • Fulfill the job responsibilities of a HHA/PCA, as assigned shift coverage within the scope of a care plan created under the direction of the Team Leader or designee.
  • Assists with office functions, which may include but are not limited to accounts payable coding, ordering office supplies and answering phones.
  • Develops and maintains close working relationships with employees and contracted staff to coordinate the addition and/or editing of schedule and billing information.
  • Maintains current and accurate staff and client records through use of the computer system. Enters employee information, tracks unmade visits, and other employee related details. Follows Redstone@Home protocols, corporate policies, federal, state, and local guidelines in all areas of the computer system.
  • Assists with preparing orientation materials (binders), printing educational materials under the direction of supervisor.
  • Uses computer system to prepare pre-scheduled client visits at the supervisor's direction. Adjusts schedule according to staff availability and changing client needs. Designates correct billing codes for each visit.
  • Prints and distributes staff itineraries as needed. Responds to staff and client phone calls related to schedule, questions, and concerns.
  • Uses computer system to run reports, using them to evaluate data entry accuracy. Edits or reports problems as needed. Assists in the verification and payroll processes.
  • Develops and maintains close working relationships with employees and contracted staff to coordinate the addition and/or editing of schedule and billing information.
  • Participates, as assigned, in the on-call schedule rotations for Home Care as a HHA/PCA.

What do I need for this role with Redstone?

  • Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License in good standing, free of traffic violations. Excellent driving skills with good judgment. Reliable, independent transportation for use when assignment includes travel between campuses on the same day.
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
  • One or more years' experience in a hospice or home health agency.
