Membership Sales Associate

SPENGA Columbus is seeking friendly, energetic and dependable individuals to join our team as part-time Membership Sales Associates at our Hilliard and Gahanna studios.

This is more than a traditional front-desk position. Membership Sales Associates create an exceptional first impression, help prospective members discover SPENGA and support current members throughout their fitness experience. The ideal candidate enjoys meeting new people, communicates confidently and thrives in a positive, fast-paced environment.

SPENGA offers a unique 60-minute workout combining 20 minutes of spin, 20 minutes of strength training and 20 minutes of yoga. No previous fitness-industry experience is required; we provide the training and support needed to succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome members and guests with a friendly, professional attitude
  • Check members into sessions and assist with account questions
  • Respond promptly to new leads by phone, text and email
  • Schedule first-time visits and follow up with prospective members
  • Provide studio tours and explain membership options
  • Help convert prospective members into active memberships
  • Build relationships with members and contribute to a welcoming community
  • Process membership and retail transactions accurately
  • Assist with local promotions, referral initiatives and studio events
  • Clean and sanitize fitness equipment, workout areas, restrooms, the lobby and other member spaces
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop, remove trash and restock studio supplies as needed
  • Help maintain consistently high standards for cleanliness and studio appearance
  • Complete opening, closing and other assigned studio responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with instructors and studio leadership

Qualifications

  • Outgoing, positive and comfortable starting conversations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Dependable, punctual and able to maintain a consistent work schedule
  • Comfortable making phone calls and following up with prospective members
  • Organized and attentive to detail
  • Motivated by goals and interested in developing sales skills
  • Willing and able to complete routine cleaning tasks throughout each shift
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous customer service, hospitality, retail or sales experience is helpful but not required
  • Interest in fitness, wellness and community building is a plus

Schedule

This is a part-time, in-person position. Available shifts may include early mornings, weekday evenings and weekends. Candidates should be able to commit to a dependable recurring schedule.
