Inside Sales Representative

Purpose of the Position:                                                                                                                                      

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while driving sales growth, developing customer relationships, and supporting overall revenue goals. Revenue is generated through inbound and outbound sales activities, digital sales tools, phone communication, and proactive customer engagement. This position is in-office and is eligible for commission. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate quotes, process sales inquiries, and follow up with customers and prospects.
  • Respond to incoming calls, and other customer requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Proactively contact assigned customers to identify sales opportunities, recommend products and services, and generate add-on and repeat sales.
  • Achieve established sales goals and performance milestones within designated timeframes.
  • Review and monitor reports to identify opportunities, maintain customer business, and support sales performance.
  • Utilize company CRM 

 

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform other job duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Complete required vendor training modules, such as Miller Masters, Hypertherm Sales Pro, Lincoln, etc. and participate in onsite Vendor training sessions
  • Visit customers to help build and maintain relationships
  • Support Counter Sales operations as needed 

 

 Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of customer service experience.
  • Experience working with ERP systems. 3+ years of experience preferred 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and sound judgment with the ability to make decisions based on available information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team, take initiative, and consistently follow through on responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of the welding and industrial gases industry.
  • Experience working across multiple technology platforms, interfaces, and business applications.

 

 

Equipment Used:

  • 2-wheel dollies, liquid carts and pallet jacks
  • Standard office equipment, computer programs and technical manuals
  • Handle various hand and power tools such as drills, screwdriver, box cutters, scanners, etc.
  • Safety gear such as safety boots, safety glasses, gloves, etc. as applicable

 

Job Specifications/Requirements:

Ability to sit 5 to 6 hours a day with little walking, standing and lifting/carrying. Ability to Stand 5-6 hours per day with little sitting, when covering Counter Sales. Frequent twisting, bending, reaching, grasping and repetitive motions; extended sitting beyond 6 hours may occur, occasional lifting of 20-25lbs is required, may at times lift up to 75lbs. Reoccurring Pushing/pulling of 25lbs up to 75lbs. Ability to work in moderately warm or cold conditions where high noise levels are possible. Willingness to travel as necessary for store coverage, training, seminars and customer site visits.
