Compensation: $35 - $50 / hour – depending on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Compassionately works with clients on using their respiratory equipment and supplies
- Engagingly educates clients and care providers on their respiratory equipment and respiratory care procedures
- Empathetically supports clients and care providers in the use and maintenance of their equipment and ensures the equipment is working properly
- Skillfully performs related clinical assessments and tests
- Effectively supplies respiratory equipment including but not limited to noninvasive and invasive mechanical ventilators, BiPAPs, CPAPs, suction machines, and other related equipment
- Efficiently maintains medical records to document progress and ensure continuity of care
- Professionally consults with the referring physician as needed to ensure the Plan of care is being met
- Proactively wears personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect self and client
- Innovatively helps clients and care providers generate strategies to increase life participation and improve quality of life
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Not applicable at this time but may be an option in the future
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Successful background check according to company standards
Education and/or Experience
- Registered respiratory therapist with graduation from an accredited program is required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, or Professional Designations
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance or ability to have a driver for home visits
- Registration or certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Hold a current RCP license in the state(s) where clients will be served
- Have current CPR certification
- Maintain all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Commitment to compassionate care
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Successful completion of the Ways of Living competency evaluation program
Computer Skills
- Basic ability to use electronic medical records to document care
- Willingness to learn unfamiliar technology
Language Skills
- English (reading, writing, verbal)
- Prefer additional languages to support a range of clients
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, you may use your hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. You would use computer and telephone equipment. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision. Must be able to travel by car. You may lift up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
You would be working directly with clients in their homes carrying out the essential functions of this job. We are an inclusive company and are happy to make reasonable accommodation for individuals with special needs to perform the essential functions.
- You or someone driving you must be able to safely operate a car day and night in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
- The noise level will range from low to high depending on clients’ homes
- There is minimal to moderate exposure to dust, fumes, mists, and odors, including cleaning agents
- Temperatures will range based on outside temperatures and the temperatures within the homes
- Lighting will vary depending on the homes
