Urgently Hiring Caregivers!

Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour

Position Overview

Caregivers support clients with daily living activities, household tasks, and companionship to help them maintain independence at home.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care: bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, dressing, and ambulation
  • Provide catheter/colostomy emptying (no insertion)
  • Support transfers (bed, chair, wheelchair, shower)
  • Offer medication reminders
  • Assist with home exercise plans
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry
  • Support clients with shopping
  • Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and activities
  • Monitor and encourage range‑of‑motion exercises
  • Maintain receipts/logs for client purchases
  • Document care and report changes in condition
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Ability to work independently and know when to involve a supervisor
  • Safe workplace habits and decision‑making skills

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of home care experience
  • Must meet NY State caregiving requirements
  • Current (not expired) HHA certification
  • Active driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation and a vehicle available during shifts
  • Availability for various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Demands

(Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with medical limitations and/or disabilities.)

  • Ability to lift, move, and assist clients safely
  • Ability to assist clients in and out of vehicles and lift a wheelchair or walker up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to communicate clearly to exchange information
  • Ability to operate office equipment such as a computer and phone
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
  • Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, light housekeeping, walking, and driving
