Join the YWCA Central Area Food Bank, where every shift helps ensure local families have access to healthy, nutritious food. Starting at $26.50 per hour, this position offers the opportunity to earn extra income while making a tangible impact in your community.

As a Food Bank Assistant, you'll be part of a small, supportive team working alongside staff and volunteers to serve more than 400 households every week. In 2025 alone, our food bank distributed more than 350,000 pounds of food to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity throughout King County.

This is a hands-on, active role for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with others, and seeing the immediate impact of their efforts. No two days are exactly alike. You'll help organize food donations, prepare for weekly distributions, maintain warehouse inventory, and support satellite pantry locations serving communities across South King County and Snohomish County.
