ACES Systems Technical Sales Specialist
Position Summary: The Technical Sales Specialist plays a key role and blends consultative sales with hands-on technical expertise. This position partners closely with clients, operators, OEMs, and all other product experts to understand requirements, provide solutions, and guide customers through the decision-making process.
Essential Functions

Sales and Business Development:
• Identify and qualify leads with MROs, flight departments, OEMs, and operators
• Develop quotes and proposals, and close equipment and service sales
• Determine areas for existing customers to add to existing equipment or upgrade to new equipment based on new needs
Post Sale Technical Assistance
• Provide technical onboarding, configuration, troubleshooting, and application guidance for sold equipment
• Escalate complex issues to Engineering as needed
Customer Training
• Deliver hands-on and/or classroom training via customer site, in ACES facility, or virtually for maintenance teams on equipment operation, data interpretation (as related to equipment usage), and best practices
Application Consulting
• Advise customers on how to integrate diagnostic tools into maintenance workflows and interpret vibration/track data to inform maintenance decisions
Documentation and Reporting
• Produce clear technical and application notes, training materials, and other documents as assigned
Travel, Field Support, and Demos
• Conduct onsite and remote demos of ACES Systems products and services
• Travel to industry tradeshows, customer sites, and airfields for training and technical support as needed
Supervisory Responsibilities
None.
Required Qualifications
• Aircraft maintenance background (military or civilian)
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret diagnostic data
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong ability to explain technical concepts to maintenance personnel and decision makers
• Willingness to work extended hours as needed
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid passport, or willingness to acquire one
Preferred Qualifications
• A&P certification and/or equivalent military or civilian aviation maintenance experience
• Proven sales experience or demonstrated success in customer facing technical/sales roles
• Practical experience with vibration analysis, fixed wing dynamic balancing and/or helicopter track and balance
• CRM experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Demands
• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking
• Regular use of computer and standard office equipment, requiring repetitive hand, finger, and arm movements
• Frequent verbal communication and active listening in individual and group settings
• Occasional bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, and reaching
• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials weighing up to 50 pounds, including occasional overhead lifting of up to 20 pounds
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Ability to hear, localize, and recognize/detect sounds, specifically in potentially moderate to loud customer site environments
• Concentration, problem-solving, mathematical aptitude, organizational skills, and effective written and verbal communication
Work Environment
This position is primarily performed in a professional office environment with occasional travel to customer sites, manufacturing facilities, flight lines, hangars, and test cells. Visits to production or industrial environments may require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing and eye protection, and exposure to moderate noise levels.
Travel
Domestic and international travel of up to 50% may be required.
