What You’ll Do

As part of our team, you’ll help operate and maintain the wastewater treatment plant, pump stations, and collection system. Your work will include:

Troubleshooting and repairing pumps, compressors, and treatment equipment

Performing lab testing and monitoring treatment processes

Completing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks

Recording and reporting system performance, repairs, and inventory needs

Assisting contractors with equipment installations and upgrades

Maintaining tools, vehicles, and facility grounds

Rotating through essential duties like sludge processing, cleaning, and snow removal

No two days are the same—you’ll stay active, engaged, and always learning.

What You Bring

Massachusetts Wastewater Operator Certification (Grade 4 minimum, with the ability to obtain Grade 5 within 6 months of hire)

2+ years of experience (preferred)

High school diploma or trade school certification

CDL Class B (or ability to obtain within 1 year)

Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills

Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, and CMMS systems

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Work Environment

This is a dynamic, hands-on role with both indoor and outdoor work:

Exposure to weather, water, and humidity

Industrial equipment, noise, and vibration

Occasional confined spaces and physically demanding tasks

Physical Requirements

Lift up to 50 lbs (frequently 25 lbs)

Stand, walk, climb, and work in tight spaces as needed

Use tools, equipment, and monitoring instruments regularly
