Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. If you take pride in precision craftmanship and want to build equipment that plays a vital role in the manufacturing industry. This role is responsible for constructing, assembling and repairing metal structures and equipment by interpreting blueprints and using various welding and metal working techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of welding process, precision, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum, steel, and stainless-steel components
• Use various hand and power tools to cut, grind, and prep materials for assembly
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and use precision measurement tools (calipers, tape measurements) cut steel to length using bandsaw, plasma, and torch.
• Fabricate and assemble metal parts according to specifications
• Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance; rework as needed
• Maintain clean and organized workplace and operate equipment safely. Perform routine maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment.
• Operate metal fabrication machinery, including shears, brakes, and saws as well as welding equipment and hand/power tools.
• Follow all safety, quality, and production standards
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams as needed
• Work with other team members to meet project requirements and deadlines

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication.
• 1–3 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Proficiency in MIG welding; TIG experience a plus
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints
• Proficiency with a variety of hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Familiar with operating metal fabrication machinery and tools.
• Strong attention to detail, quality and commitment to safety protocols
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a production environment
• Welding certification preferred but not required (company training available)

Preferred Experience

• Aluminum welding experience
• Automotive, ambulance, RV, or specialty vehicle manufacturing
• Experience working in a fast-paced production environment

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and fabrication shop environment
• Exposure to welding fumes, sparks, noise, and heavy components
• PPE required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Welding positions that may include flat, vertical, or overhead. Need the ability to adjust welding current to set-up for proper welding configuration

Contingencies of Employment

• Successful completion of a background check, pre-employment drug screen and physical examination 
• Successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, if applicable to the position
