Investor Relations Associate

Job Description

Position: Investor Relations Associate

The Investor Relations Associate will play an integral role in supporting the firm’s senior leadership by delivering high quality client service and marketing support. This position will serve as the IR point of contact and is responsible for coordinating investor and prospective investor communications, responding to data requests, preparing reporting and marketing materials, and managing ongoing client and prospect engagement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.


Firm Description

Forester Capital, L.L.C. is an alternative investment advisor offering institutional investors access to high-quality fundamental managers through our Alternative Investment Platform. Investors participate through Forester’s advisory programs, private equity structured revenue share funds, commingled funds, direct co-investments, and capacity rights options.

The firm has a strong track record making traditional and strategic investments with seasoned, successful managers who are starting, or have recently started, their own firms. Over the years, Forester has made profits for clients investing in
alternative managers including Lone Pine, Viking, Tiger Global, 12 West, Ararat, EVR and Heights Point.

The portfolios currently have strategic revenue share investments that generate significant revenue for the firm, reducing fees and adding to performance. The underlying strategic managers have generated a strong performance track record and manage over $3 Billion in total AUM.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate Should

All Candidates Should Have
• Undergraduate degree required.
• 2-5 years of experience in Client Services, Investor Relations, or a related role within financial services.
• CRM experience a plus.

 

Responsibilities

Firmwide Client Service and Marketing
• Manage the firm calendar and coordinate scheduling with senior members of the team.
• Take notes during meetings with current and prospective investors and coordinate follow up.
• Prepare materials for firm events, investor meetings, and internal and external calls.
• Improve IR repeatable processes, reporting workflows, and technology tools.
• Maintain CRM systems to track investor interactions, pipelines, and communication efforts.

Existing Client Service, Communication and Request Management
• Coordinate regular investor and prospective investor communications, including monthly/quarterly reports,
investor letters, performance updates, calls, and meetings.
• Maintain client request log, track and coordinate timely response.
• Prepare responses to investor inquiries regarding strategy, performance, risk, liquidity, and operations.

Prospective Client Pipeline, Marketing Process and Onboarding
• Support marketing efforts across the firm.
• Manage and refine prospective client pipeline.
• Identify prospective leads and add to pipeline.
• Assist in the completion of RFIs, marketing pieces and DDQs for institutional investors, consultants and prospective clients.
