Director Of Client Services
Director of Client Services
About This Opportunity
Home Helpers Home Care is a locally owned franchise agency serving Durham, Chapel Hill, NW Raleigh, Carrboro, and Pittsboro. We are in our pre-licensure phase — our NC DHSR application has been submitted and we are targeting mid-July to be up and running.
This is a ground-floor opportunity to join a new agency and help shape it from day one. The right candidate is energized by that prospect — not looking for a large, established organization, but genuinely excited to build something meaningful in their community.
At launch, this position requires approximately 5–10 hours per week. As the agency grows, so does this role — with a clear path to full-time clinical leadership.
What Makes Us Different
We are committed to:
- Relationship-first care — with clients, families, and caregivers
- Creative, individualized approaches to keeping clients engaged and thriving at home
- A tech-forward operation using WellSky and modern care management tools
- Building a caregiver team that is supported, respected, and developed
Role Overview
The Director of Clinical Services is the clinical and operational lead for our agency. In this role, you will:
- Conduct initial in-home client assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Match caregivers to client cases based on assessed needs and qualifications
- Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and performance support to caregivers
- Lead caregiver interviews and contribute hiring recommendations
- Ensure compliance with NC DHSR home care regulations (10A NCAC 13J)
- Manage client and caregiver scheduling in WellSky
- Maintain accurate client records and conduct quarterly record reviews
- Serve as a trusted clinical presence with clients, families, and referral partners
Schedule & Structure
This role requires a flexible schedule. Client assessment meetings may be requested at any time, including evenings and weekends. While total hours at launch will be modest, flexibility and responsiveness are essential. We welcome candidates who are currently employed and seeking a meaningful part-time commitment — with intention to grow.
Work is a mix of field-based (client homes in the Durham/Chapel Hill area) and remote administrative tasks. In-office attendance is expected for orientations, interviews, and operational meetings.

- Excellent communicator — responsive, clear, and professional
- Self-directed and able to work with autonomy while maintaining consistent communication with the owner
- Valid NC driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle
A strong fit if you are:
- Excited about joining a new agency and helping build it from the ground up
