Outpatient Psychotherapist

Dare To Be Counseling, LLC is seeking a compassionate, skilled outpatient psychotherapist to join our growing private practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

We are a small, locally owned, strength-based, and social justice-minded practice committed to creating a supportive, empowering environment for both our clients and the clinicians who serve them. We believe therapists do their best work when they feel respected, supported, and valued.

Earn approximately $71,000–$128,000 annually based on a caseload of 20–30 client sessions per week.

Clinical Support & Consultation

We prioritize communication, collaboration, and therapist wellbeing. Clinicians receive direct access to leadership, monthly case consultation, and a highly supportive team environment.

Supervision

Each clinician receives:

  • 3 hours/month of individual supervision
  • 2 hours/month of group supervision/case consultation
  • Licensure supervision for LLMSWs

Billing, Credentialing & Marketing

Our in-house administrative team manages insurance credentialing, billing, collections, and client account support. We also help market your services, including Psychology Today and other professional profiles as needed.

 

Qualifications

We are seeking clinicians who have:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health field
  • Current Michigan Health License in good standing as LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LMFT, or LP
  • Residence in Michigan
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical behavioral health experience (at least 1 year post graduate degree)
  • Willingness to build to a minimum caseload of 20 sessions weekly
  • Ability to work in-office at least 2 days per week
  • Strength-based, culturally responsive, and LGBTQ+ affirming approach
  • Strong communication, organization, documentation, and time-management skills
  • Professionalism, reliability, and ethical integrity
  • Commitment to healthy boundaries, self-care, and work-life balance
  • Private professional telehealth space and reliable internet for hybrid candidates

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide an average of 20 psychotherapy sessions weekly 
  • Conduct assessments and create individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain scheduling and client communication promptly
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with outside providers when appropriate and authorized
  • Attend required meetings, supervision, and trainings
  • Support client retention, networking, and practice growth
  • Maintain licensure and uphold all applicable ethical and legal standards
