Seasonal Environmental Field Technician

The Luzerne Conservation District is a local agency with the mission of conserving land and water resources in Luzerne County by promoting public awareness, providing technical assistance, and encouraging regulatory compliance.

The Luzerne Conservation District is accepting applications for seasonal field technicians for the Mosquito-borne Disease Control (MDC) Program. This position involves the collection of entomological data to assess mosquito populations within Luzerne County and pesticide applications associated with mosquito control activities. Collections will be completed under protocols established by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Day-to-day oversight will be performed by the MDC Program Coordinator and the Executive Director.

Employment will be for 30-40 hours per week for 21-23 weeks (late-April to late-September). Pay range is $20.16 - $20.46 per hour and is dependent upon relevant training and experience.
