A local medical office in Bridgeport is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Insurance Specialist to join their team. This role is perfect for someone with experience in insurance verification or medical billing who enjoys working in a supportive, professional healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Verify patients’ insurance coverage and eligibility before appointments

Process insurance claims and follow up on unpaid or denied claims

Communicate with insurance providers to resolve billing issues and obtain authorizations

Assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits and financial responsibilities

Maintain accurate and updated insurance records

Collaborate with the front desk and clinical teams to ensure smooth administrative operations

Qualifications:

Prior experience in insurance verification, medical billing, or a related role is required

Strong understanding of insurance terminology and claims procedures

Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

Proficient in basic computer programs and electronic health record (EHR) systems

Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
