S.T.A.R.S Program Associate Instructor - Grapevine

Job Title:   S.T.A.R.S Program Associate Instructor 

Locations:   Goodwill North Central Texas ---880 Mustang Drive, Grapevine, TX 

Salary:    Based on Experience

Work Hours:    FT (40 Hrs. per Week) Monday through Friday, 7:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.

General Job Duties:   Ensure that Stars participants are properly logged in and out each day and assist with and daily instruction and training.  Keep accurate and timely daily records of each consumer’s activities while in their designated area.  Maintain the safety and security of consumers, activity areas.  Work together as a team member to be sure that S.T.A.R.S program runs efficiently and to the enhancement of all team members. 

Skills/Qualifications:    Good interpersonal skills and adaptability to change preferred; supervisory skills and experience working with disabled or disadvantaged individuals.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.  Good communication skills required.

Physical Requirements:  Sufficient mobility to assist Stars participants with occasional physical assistance.

Legal Requirements:   Documentation to satisfy I-9 requirements, background check, and drug screen. Candidate must meet staff qualifications as outlined by MHMRTC.
