
After School Enrichment Program (ASEP) Movement Coordinator
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of After School Programs, the ASEP Movement Coordinator is responsible for assisting with theme development, overseeing movement curriculum, and collaborating with members of the ASEP team. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains and expands established movement curriculum, while ensuring alignment with the school’s mission and needs of students.
- Researches and implements ASEP movement curriculum themes, in collaboration with the Director of After School Programs and the TPS Physical Education Department as needed.
- Contributes to theme schedule, in collaboration with the Director of After School Programs.
- Collaborate with other members of the ASEP team to ensure the curriculum is clear and cohesive.
- Ensures movement activities are engaging, age-appropriate, cohesive to any curriculum themes.
- Develops and implements daily movement activities, outside of any other planned project leads.
- Prepares materials and supervises set-up and break down of movement activities.
- Communicates themes and movement activities to designated grade levels.
- Ensures all equipment and materials are in good, safe working order, organized, and replaced as needed.
- Keeps track of equipment and coordinates with the Director of After School Programs for all ordering.
- Support the Director of After School Programs with movement discussions and curriculum planning of themes, special programs, and potential summer programs during staff meetings, inservice meetings, and professional development.
Work Hours & Other Duties:
Works Monday - Friday (or designated schedule), from 2:30-6:00pm, throughout the program’s scheduled calendar months (September - June). Work day may be revised or extended as needed for planning, professional development, and other school events. This may include weekends and evenings.

Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a related field is required.
- At least 2 years teaching experience is required.
- Two years of administrative and/or management experience preferred.
- Demonstrates a genuine interest in the student population and after school programs.
- Highly motivated, with energy and enthusiasm about working in an academic atmosphere.
- Demonstrates sensitivity, cultural competence, confidentiality, and professional judgment.
- Outstanding interpersonal, listening, collaborative, communication, organizational and time management skills.
- Overall mobility is essential including sitting, walking, standing, driving, and working under adverse conditions for extended periods of time during the work day.
- The ability to lift 20 lbs to transport supplies and educational equipment/material is essential to performing the duties of the job.
- Must have basic knowledge of a variety of Apple computer software applications and software.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum, program, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of programming effects.
- Must be diplomatic, tactful, discreet, flexible, resourceful, dependable, well-organized, friendly, emotionally mature, punctual, and professional. Must be able to work effectively with multiple supervisors and administration, balance and prioritize multiple requests.
- Must demonstrate ability to complete assigned project tasks on time.
